Intro

Hi! If you’ve stumbled upon this blog then hopefully you’re probably someone who works in healthcare and/or is interested in quality improvement or safety. Let me begin by saying thanks! And welcome!

I’m a nurse in an academic medical center and have a role focused on healthcare quality and process improvement. I work with a wide range of teams, from procedural to emergency medicine to first responders to surgeons to inpatient nurses to C-suite leaders. No two days in my job are ever the same (for which I am grateful!).

I have been a nurse since 2012, when I graduated from a community college with an Associate’s degree in nursing. Since then I have gone on to pursue a Bachelor’s in nursing and a Master’s in healthcare quality and safety. Currently I’m pursuing my Doctorate of Nursing Practice (class of 2026!) and I hope one day to become an executive leader with a side-hustle in teaching.

In this blog venture, I want to bring you some things that I’ve learned along the way and discuss some challenges I’ve navigated during my career. I may share some tools I’ve found or some insight I’ve gathered that maybe I wish I’d known earlier.

I’m excited to share some things with you as we go along and I appreciate your support on this venture.

If you have any topics you’d like discussed, maybe my thoughts on a particular subject or issue, or just have feedback, feel welcome to share! We can all learn, grow, and improve.

Thanks again and have a great day!
